Riftbound Radiance Pre-Rift Recap

Radiance arrived early at Rift Vault: 8 players Friday, 7 Saturday, Sealed battles and fresh pulls at our Pre-Rift. Congrats to our winners, Summoners!

Radiance arrived at Rift Vault a week early, and what a weekend it was. Our two Riftbound Radiance Pre-Rift sessions on Friday, Oct 16 and Saturday, Oct 17 brought Summoners to our tables in Olongapo to crack the new set, build Sealed decks and play their very first Radiance games together. To everyone who came out: thank you!

How it went down

Friday's session kicked off at 7:00 PM and Saturday's at 4:00 PM, with 8 seats each. Every player got a Pre-Rift Kit with a randomly seeded Legend and 15-card pre-constructed deck, a Radiance pre-release promo card and 5 Radiance booster packs. From there it was pure Sealed: open your kit, build from what you pulled, and battle. We provided the runes, so all anyone needed was a sharp eye and a few top loaders.

Friday brought 8 players to the tables and Saturday brought 7. Both sessions ran 3 rounds of Swiss, best of 3.

The pulls

Half the fun of a Pre-Rift is the first look at a new set, and Radiance delivered. On Saturday, Akali, Brash (SP2/005) and Evelynn, In Control (SP3/005) both turned up, and the Akali is already safe in a top loader.

Congratulations to our winners

Each session paid out 3 Radiance Booster Packs for 1st, 2 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd.

Friday, Oct 16: 1st WAVES (3-0), 2nd VZGG MARCH (2-0-1), 3rd LOW CORTISOL (2-1)
Saturday, Oct 17: 1st PEDI (2-0-1), 2nd ITHILAN (2-0-1), 3rd YOBKIDNEY (2-1)

Well played to every Summoner who sat down, win or lose. Here are our Friday and Saturday crews showing off their packs.
